This two-component silicone elastomer system is explicitly designed for electronic potting and encapsulation. It protects against mechanical shock, vibration, impact damage, and environmental contamination. CHT Q-Sil 553 is suitable for use in areas where low flammability is required.
The cured elastomer can be repaired, and the component parts have relatively low viscosities, allowing it to be easily mixed by hand or machine. Other features include a thermally conductive nature, a 1:1 mix ratio, and a low modulus with moderate viscosity.
