Description

MOLYPAUL 707 is a thermosetting solid film lubricant based on an organic binder, solvent and molybdenum disulphide.

Field of application

MOLYPAUL 707 is mainly used in case of low sliding speeds and high loads, and in combination with oils and greases. Examples are running-in and emergency lubrication for differential gears and plain bearings, dry lubrication of threaded spindles, magnetic cores, clamps, adjustment screws and mechanisms, joint pins, guide rails, stud-bolts, nuts, and dowel pins.

Method of application

Apply MOLYPAUL 707 by compressed air and airless spraying sysetms. Dipping is advisable with large quantities of small parts. Due to nonuniform coating thicknesses, coating by brush or roller can only be recommended if spraying or dipping is impossible. In case of spraying systems storage tanks equipped with a stirring device are recommended. Thoroughly degrease the lubrication surfaces using a solvent and let dry. To increase adhesion and thus service life a pretreatment by sand blasting or phosphatizing is recommended.

Stir well before use! Shelf life: 18 months in closed original containers at ambient temperature.
